I was born, raised and still reside in the Austin, Texas area. I have always enjoyed troubleshooting and solving complex problems, and this has steered many of my career decisions.

I started my career in the Navy as an Electronics Technician. This was an experience that not only provided me my first insights into what I enjoyed most, but opened my eyes to a much larger world.

I love to camp, fish, and work on projects around the house. I also really enjoy cooking and trying new cuisines, especially the local specialties when traveling. I am always researching new recipes, and working on ways to improve them when I find a good one.

A few years back, I had an opportunity to start my own business, leveraging the experience I had gained to help other companies grow their market presence. This experience reinforced how much I enjoy the technical side of the sales process, especially working with the customer to find a technical solution to their problem. In an effort to stay abreast of the latest technologies, I am constantly evaulting current market needs and trends. This led to the discovery that there is a shift in how technology is implemented, and possessing a deeper understanding of full stack developments will be critical to the success of many customer facing technical personnel.

In an effort to improve my current technical skill sets, especially in the area software development and API's, I decided to attend Actualize Bootcamp. This not only complements my current skill sets, but provides me the knowledge to support applications requiring a deeper understanding of these technologies.

Developed a web application that allows users to enter their favorite teams from multiple sports leagues, and then have a one-stop location for the game times, schedule, latest news, and seasonal data utilizing several online API sources, and implemented using Ruby for the backend and Vue.JS for the front end
